THE SOMEWHAT ORGANIZED LIFE OF

you can call me Joey

I build things. I break things. I usually figure them out.

Equal parts technical difficulties
and side quests.

a few pages from my life EST. STILL
FIGURING IT OUT

THE DAY JOB (AND MOST NIGHTS)

p. 01

Small team.
Big questions.

I’m employee #4 at Ix. Board member since January 2026, CTO since May. The company got about a month’s head start on me.

Now I lead the engineers building agent infrastructure to reduce AI hallucinations and eliminate knowledge silos.

HOW THIS WHOLE THING STARTED

p. 02

Hello, world.
Goodbye, free time.

First line of code at 16. Computer engineering at UC San Diego. A habit of asking “could I build that?” ever since.

Exhibit A: a toy car I made autonomous with a Jetson Nano and a camera.

the car drove itself.
the code did not write itself. ↗ ↓

SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED

p. 03

Then I got
a bigger car.

Late 2025, I bought a 1993 Toyota Camry V6. Then rebuilt the suspension, brakes, drivetrain and engine systems. A perfectly reasonable hobby.

Still chipping away. The sound system is incredible. The plan: purple, and a couple inches from the ground.

less “new car smell,” more “where’s my 10mm?”

A SLIGHTLY LOUDER SIDE QUEST

p. 04
High-school Joey asleep holding a guitar; when it’s removed, his hands stay in playing position
even unconscious, committed to the bit.

Guitar since 12.
Apparently even
in my sleep.

My cousin took the guitar out of my hands. My hands stayed exactly where they were.

A few bands, bars, concert halls, street corners… and one solo funeral gig. Quite the set list.

OCCASIONALLY LEAVING THE DESK

p. 05
4:25.64one mile. yes, really.

Used to run fast.
Now I lift heavy.

Once upon a time, I ran a mile in 4:25.64.

Senior-year highlights: winning the Stanford Cross Country Invitational and the Division II Valley title in California’s Central Section.

A couple years into lifting, the mission is simple: become the most jacked dork alive.

Born a Gooner.
Before that, actually.

Born in Bakersfield, CA. No ties to England whatsoever. Arsenal fan since conception.

After all those years, watching the boys lift major honors? Pure joy. Some things are worth losing your voice over.

COYG! ♡

TO BE CONTINUED…

p. 07

you’ve reached the end of the page, not the side quests.

No idea what’s next.
Come find out.

Code, cars, music, lifting, football. Life gets eventful.
I post the good bits (and a fair amount of the chaos).

You never quite know what I’ll do next.
Truth is, neither do I.

see you around,
Joey ☺
